We accept cash, PayPal, and Venmo. If using PayPal Friends and Family, you will pay the purchase price. If you use PayPal to pay a vendor, you will add a 5% convenience fee to your purchase price. If we send an invoice via PayPal, you will be charged a 5% convenience fee. Any deposit received through PayPal or Venmo will have the same guidelines as one received by any other means . . . the deposit will be forfeited if the buyer changes their mind, doesn't finish paying for the animal, or doesn't pick up the animal according to the guidelines below. Thanks.
- No animal will be held unless a deposit has been given. We have simply been burned too many times to waive this for anyone. That said, if you make arrangements to come in the evening, rest assured that we will hold the animal for you until your arrival. We do ask that you notify us that you are on the way though.
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold goats. The deposit varies for cattle and donkeys.
- If we have received a deposit and the animal is not picked up within 24 hours of the agreed upon date, the deposit is forfeited and the animal will be put up for sale again.
- We do not ship any animals. We do not deliver any animals.
- Adult goats, when sold, will come with ADGA and AGS registrations, unless otherwise noted. The kids can be registered with ADGA and/or AGS unless you are getting a wether - ADGA does not register wethers. Sometimes we will register the kids after you purchase them and sometimes we have already registered them.
- The kid must have the prefix of Southpaw Acres in their registered name (registry rules for both registries).
- Animals are sold as is with the understanding that they are up to date on their shots and de-worming, if applicable.
- Goats must be sold in pairs unless it is determined that the buyer has goats.
- The buyer is responsible for fencing, food, shelter, and care of the animal once leaving the premises.
- Buyer must provide transportation. Animals must be transported safely in a ventilated, sheltered cage/trailer. We reserve the right to refuse the sale of any animal should the buyer not have a safe method of transportation. Baby goats are small enough to ride in your lap, if you choose to do so. Adult goats will fit into a large dog crate/carrier. Donkeys and cattle should be transported in a livestock trailer or other mode designed for livestock.
